What do our Sober Companions do?

Our sober companions offer one-on-one support for individuals in early recovery, sometimes whilst transitioning from rehab or detox back into daily life.  We provide emotional support, accountability, and guidance in real-life situations.

Live-in Sober Companion – Stays with the client full-time for a set period (days to months).
On-Call Sober Companion – Available when needed, such as before stressful events.

 Responsibilities may include:

• Providing 24/7 support – Some live with the client temporarily to ensure a sober environment.

• Preventing relapse – Help clients avoid triggers, such as bars, parties, or negative influences.

• Encouraging healthy habits – Promoting exercise, meditation, nutrition, and therapy.

• Offering emotional support – They provide motivation and help manage cravings or stress.

• Ensuring accountability – Clients check in with them regularly to stay on track.

Who needs a Sober Companion?

Sober companions are useful for individuals who:

• Are transitioning from rehab, detox, or inpatient treatment.

• Struggle with strong triggers or high-risk environments.

• Have relapsed before and need extra accountability.

How long do you need a Sober Companion?

It depends on the individual's recovery stage. Some people need a few weeks, while others may require support for several months.

What do our Sober Escorts do?

Our sober escort service is available to help individuals who are travelling to/from rehab and also for individuals with work/social engagements to avoid relapse.  

• Safe Transport: Helps clients travel to/from rehab, detox, treatment, recovery meetings & medical appointments.

• Prevents Relapse: Ensures a sober and supportive environment during the transition.

• Provides Emotional Support: Helps manage stress, anxiety, and triggers while traveling.

• Ensures Accountability: Assists with making good choices and avoiding high-risk situations.

• Supports Family & Loved Ones: Provides reassurance and updates on progress.

How much does it cost?

Prices do vary (and may include travel expenses) though approximately: 

£100 per hour / 8hr day £600 / 24hrs £1200 / 1 week  £5000
